1. Siesta Key

Sarasota, with its Barrier Island right at the Gulf of Mexico has some of the most amazing white-sand, palm trees and lush tropical vegetation, and local wildlife in Florida. If you see coastline in and around Sarasota, chances are good that it is a beach! Siesta Key is consistently enjoyed being voted one of the BEST beaches in all of America. Be sure to see Lido Key Beach or travel a bit north to enjoy the laid back beach life on Anna Maria Island.

2. The Ringling Museum

The Ringling Museum is a beautiful historic place with plenty of fun things to do all the time! Enjoy the Museum of Art with John Ringling’s personal collection, step right up to the Circus Museum, the Ca’D’Zan was the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ringling and is quite an extraordinary site, the Asolo Theater, Education, and the gorgeous waterfront grounds boating Banyan trees.

3. Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens

Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens is a magnificent display of tropical horticulture. Awesome to walk around or attend one of their many events.

4. St. Armands Circle

St. Armands Circle is full of world-famous shoppes and restaurants.

5. Waterfront Park

Marina Jacks and O’Leary’s are great for eating and drinking. And there’s a great playground on the water overlooking a marina full of yachts.

6. Shopping

Great upscale shopping at UTC Mall and bargain, shopping at the Ellenton Outlets.

7. Downtown

Take a stroll around historic and charming downtown Sarasota, also plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes.
